Harrisburg Area Community College's Public Safety Center (PSC) provides professional public safety training. Their goal is to provide this training in a responsive, efficient and economical manner. The objective of the police academy at HACC's PSC is to provide an insight into the daily roles, responsibilities and challenges faced by our first responders, including Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS through lectures and hands-on interactive activities.

Throughout the nation, there is a continued focus on improving de-escalation and use of force training for law enforcement officers, the HACC Public Safety Center saw an opportunity to implement Apex Officer's futuristic and innovative law enforcement training technology in the classroom that will aid the development of Pennsylvania's future police and law enforcement officers.

With many law enforcement agencies and academies not having access to high-end training for their trainees and students, it was an impactful decision to provide students attending HACC's Public Safety Center with the best training tool available. As the future of law enforcement in Pennsylvania, HACC students will have a training platform that was designed in the field with law enforcement for law enforcement, that will help save lives and positively impact Pennsylvania communities.
